One electrician tried to quote me more than double what another quoted (we're talking 10,000 vs 5,000--huge difference) when I told him, he said if he's only charging 5,000, he's probably only making 1,000 or so after materials and paying his guys....I said, "what the heck are you making off me then?!?!"

On a job where there is several thousand dollars in materials I get a check when the materials are delivered but only for the amount of my materials + markup.

On top of that I find this material much more believable than the books because it is being told by people doing it everyday and not just someone trying to sell a book.
