@John Paul Whaley the East side, depends on what neighborhood you're in, North side if you're closer to the university area, you're more likely to find a steady stream of tenants (college kids).

Soon to be college student who has been interested in Real Estate for a while now and decided to finally join BP.I've been saving up for a while now, and plan on buying my first property in a few months.I plan to do buy and hold investing, I want to start with single family and then plan to eventually get into commercial real estate.My goal is to get 100 units, and hopefully eventually be able to live entirely off of my RE income.Looking forward to joining some discussions with you guys and thanks for reading my post!

so i am nowhere clsoe to getting ready to invest in real estate but i wanted your help. i spoke to my wife about future plans of investing in real estate. she did not take that well. she is very short term minded like making sure the house is fixed up. paying my student loans down. credit card down. making sure the kids are taken care of. all very important things but i am looking long term. i am the one who opened up the kids college savings account and got my sons savings account over 1k in savings getting ready for him to buy a car in about 5 years.so i do have credit card debt about 6k worth and 45k in student loans. i am currently reading set for life by scott trench but how has couples here with kids dealt with there personal finance and talk to there spouse about investing in real estate thanks!

Why wait till you're done having kids when you can start now and provide an even better future for your children-meaning you will have some more free time to spend time with those kids and also the money to send them off to college in good standing.
