My lender is Charging $600 for the appraisal, does this sound high to you guys?

One was a nice new one that I moved into.The bank who sold me the foreclosure gave me a $180K mortgage, and the initial monthly payments, including mortgage, taxes ran $1,800.

Also, the interest rate is fixed from the day you initiate that loan.

I was initially looking for rent ready as this will be my first buy an hold for the long term and was hoping for 200+ cf per month but with this market it looks closer to 100 or less.

Before I start charging I need to find a business that is willing to let me experiment with what I have learned.

What if i also had 1.8 mil initial invested.

I also tentatively plan to refinance in roughly 2 years in order to pull my initial investment out of it (BRRRR strategy with a slower refinance). 

Anyone have any recommendations for a trustworthy contractor that can complete the work and not charge me to death?

I would greatly appreciate your insight and suggestions as I begin this journey.I am 37 years old and have been charged by my mom, who is 70, with stewarding the assets left behind by my father, who passed away a few years back.

His charge was very reasonable and he came highly recommended by other people in the area.
