And even in this case there are specific rules that you must keep in mind.Travel costs incurred before establishing a business, e.g., purchasing a property, are capitalized to the basis of the property once you buy it (in some situations some costs would be classified as start-up costs and amortized).If you never establish a business, e.g., never purchase a property, in a given area, then travel costs to that area are simply personal expenses that you may neither deduct nor capitalize.

This is the biggest challenge in long distance investing- I'd recommend you start interviewing again, and in your agreement with a new PM, very specifically line out what your communication and service expectations are so that there is no misunderstanding from the get go.

Just my 2 cents - but a license isn't really necessary to make money in this game.Yes, you will have to work for a broker for either a specific amount of time, or you will have to close some amount of deals before you can get a broker license -this varies by state, so check your local division for the requirements.So... are you asking about the financial costs?
