I've considered consulting, but I'm not sure how banks would like a variable income if I apply for loans.I'm not sure, but I think the best option in this case is to find a company that will let me work remotely so that I can have the freedom to live/invest anywhere, while still having a fixed income (plus self-employment taxes can be quite hefty).What are your opinions on the matter?

I'd like to get into the buy and hold game with fixer upper multi-family rental properties and attain financial freedom early on(Age 35 is my goal).

I work two jobs right now, to help support my family, but want to really get going in the real estate investing industry, so I can have the freedom and wealth, that my family deserves.

I got into a multi-family using an FHA loan and think it's a great path for newcomers... house hacking works out well too if you have the skills/willingness to put a little extra work updating and the freedom to hop around for a few years.While you're waiting to jump in, it's definitely worth it to start learning how to evaluate deals... besides being really enjoyable, it will help for when you're ready to take the leap.Good luck!

I am a healthcare provider and a transplant from MN.

This will help me achieve financial freedom and allow me to spend more time with my family rather than attached to a cubicle.I look forward to meeting other like-minded individuals within the community with similar goals.

In my mind the freedom of information ( internet)  the HOW to class's  ( guru's  selling how to )and then Soup D Jour all of these add up to legions of people coming into different RE niche's heretofore were not the province of more of what I call the individual investor.. be them a successful business owner looking to do something new.. high wage earner looking for diversification etc.

I have no intention of quitting my day job, but I like the idea of being able to have the back stop and freedom.
