Traditional 3–5 gallon tank heaters are simple and cheap, but they keep water hot constantly, which wastes energy if usage is infrequent.

Hi- Looking for input: Keeping details high-level for privacy. 3–4 bed SFH, ~2,000–2,600 sf, 2000s build, water/preserve outlook, NO private pool, standard HOA (not a resort community).

In the 1930s lead pipes were supplanted by copper as people realized lead was unsafe.The use of lead wasn't officially stopped until 1986 by the Safe Drinking Water Act Amendments.Also, up until 1986, many homes were still using lead-based solder on copper pipes. 

I know to check shutoff valves the water should be turned off.

Appears they also got rid of the "Days Available" filter which I always enjoyed using.

It seems like the "filter" is more important than ever.

Put 1 inch soapy water in the bottom , left filter in and spent 2 hours sucking up bees .
