Looking for a mentor

Posted

Dear Bigger Pockets community -

My cousin and I are beginning to invest in real estate. I'm reaching out to see if there are any investors out there interested in taking us under their wing. We'd be glad to work for you in exchange for your knowledge and guidance. Our resources include time, strong networks (Cornell MBA & Columbia Law School), and access to real estate analysis software (Propstream and Mashvisor).

We understand this isn't a one way street and will be considerate of your time. If you're looking for two hungry upstarts (mid-30s) to work along side of you, we'd love to chat.  We live in NYC and New Jersey but are interested in out of market opportunities too

Kind regards,

Sam & Rob

It's good that you're reaching out, but you have to be careful asking strangers on the internet for partnerships or mentoring. You would be better off networking with people in your local area, building relationships, and then hopefully finding a mentor or partner.

Go to NETWORK at the top of your screen and you can search for other investors and investment groups in your area. You can also check meetup.com or search facebook for real estate investment groups, clubs, or meetings in your area.
