Starting out before your first property
BiggerPockets is a popular online platform that provides a range of resources and tools for real estate investors, including beginner investors. Some of the benefits of using BiggerPockets as a rookie investor include access to a community of experienced investors who can offer advice and guidance, a wealth of educational resources and tools to help you learn about different aspects of real estate investing, and the ability to connect with potential partners and deals. Additionally, BiggerPockets offers a number of forums and discussion boards where you can ask questions and get answers from other members of the community. Overall, using BiggerPockets can be a valuable resource for rookie investors looking to gain knowledge and build their network in the world of real estate investing. It helped me make my first purchase in 2021 in Florida when I was deployed in Afghanistan and FYI, I never saw the property, my real estate agent burned me, my real estate agent gave me horrible references, and I still came out on top because of BP. I'm a US veteran and couldn't be happier.

@Nathan Gesner and @Mary Frazier,
Thank you for the kind words and support. Mary, I went through easily 50 plus agents, from finding them myself, trying to use the seller's agent, references, you name it. They all said they were investor friendly and oddly enough, it was at the end when I found actual agents that were real estate investor friendly and they invested themselves. One agent, in particular, gave me all his time @Donald Muschany, a fellow veteran like me.
I just did the STR boot camp here on BP so I plan on looking into my property in Port Charlotte that I bought and turning it into a STR or converting the garage (separate building) into its own LTR and leaving that property alone as LTR. I plan on focusing on that general area in Florida as I went to high school around there and add the St. Charles area in Missouri for LTR and STR. I live in Qatar now so I have advantages other's don't that live stateside so I plan on using those. January I plan on running full speed ahead getting back into real estate learning and investing. Qatar offers a few things you can't find elsewhere in the world. I bet you have plans for the new year as well for goals.
