That very much depends on the value of the property! Are you flipping a 250k or a 750k house? Here are some ballpark numbers for both, based on Milwaukee prices.

KITCHEN 250k/750k house:

demolition and disposal: 1,500/2,000

cabinets: 5,000/20,000

cabinet install: 2,000/6,000

countertops: 400/10,000

sink, faucets: 300/1,500

flooring: 1,000/3,000

doors/millwork: 500/3,000 min

paint: 400/800

plumbing: 2,500/3,500

electrical: 1,000/3,000

appliances: 2,800/6,000 min

light fixtures: 200/2,000 min

hardware: 150/1,000

backsplash: 0/3,000

pantry: 0/600

general labor/assembly: 2,000 / 4,000

final cleaning: 200/400

drywall/insulation/framing: removing soffits, moving walls? anywhere from 2,000 to 10,000

As you can see, it adds up quickly!

We just flipped a $500k "starter" home in Boulder County, CO. We have good subs that we've used for our other rental properties which is usually half the battle. We did 2 bathrooms for about $3.5k each. I got the tile from a discount tile place and re-glazed the tub. Tile work and plumbing (which was minor) were by far the biggest expenses. The kitchen was about $9k all in. A word of advice don't try to buy used appliances to save money - you usually have to pick them up an there are dents. Just spend the $500 more and get a package from a big box store delivered (we love Costco for this). We tried to save money with Ikea cabinets and worked with a designer but in the end this was a nightmare. Parts that were supposed to be in stock weren't, we were missing a ton of stuff and it slowed our flip by almost 3 weeks. (My husband installed these and about lost his mind. Just because we had everything on the packing list didn't mean we had everything we needed. Ikea got it wrong in our case.)  We put in quartz from a local shop. We did a ton of other stuff to the house but these were our biggest expenses. We are under contract now!

bathroom is between 3k-5k for labour ; material is about 2k-5k.In term of the works, plumbing could be the highest expense. Then the choice between tile or panel,etc ; bathtub or shower. I guess vanity price would be the same.

If you have access to the home, would get free estimations from contractors.

@Carlos Ptriawan is 100% correct. Plumbing is going to be your biggest expense. When I look at homes, I immediately go to two places: kitchen and bathrooms to check for water damage. Then the basement to check to see what pipes they used (pvc, galvanized, copper) and did they use the right type.Always stick to certified folks as plumbing is an item you never want "eh" folks to do.

@Nathan Gesner tool will help with rough estimations but if you do not have entry to the home, you have a big price range as there are several variables.

Be sure when comparing bids, you are comparing apples to apples. Type of cabinetry, countertops, fixtures, etc. Do you want basic, or upscale. Specify materials for bids. Check licenses, and references! Good luck.

As a Contractor here in S.Flo. Kitchens and Bathrooms are the most expensive to get done. I usually work with my investors to look for better options and let them decide.
