Services useful for landlords?

Joshuah Baker
Posted

So I've poked around real estate investing, and I understand there are support services that might be useful for the real estate industry such as clean up services when old tenants move out. This is probably where I'm going to get my start. The average job around here pays 25-50k a year which is not going to be enough to bolster capital, and fix and flips get bought up fast.

However there is a large construction, and real estate presence around here. Do you have any advice on how I can get in contact with landlords about offering clean up services, or things that might be overlooked that would add value. Such as focusing on efficiency and getting units cleaned up as to decrease turn around time for vacancies. All advice, and insights are appreciated.

Good advice from David, but I recommend starting the other way around. Figure out what the need is first, then build a business.

Visit the real estate and property management offices. Ask them what their biggest pain points are, then figure out how to solve their problem. Turn it into a business.
