Is nj a good state for flipping or investing in buying and hold?

Hello everyone I just graduated college and want to get into real estate. I have savings and want to get into investing in real estate asap. I just don't know if nj is a good area for real estate investing as the taxes are the main reason. If any investors in nj can help me out I would greatly appreciate it.
