Do I need to be licensed in order to wholesale?

I live in the Austin, TX area and would love to start investing in real estate. My only issue is the lack of money. After doing extensive amount of research, I concluded that wholesaling would be my solution. I'm just not sure if wholesaling is legal in Texas. Please help with any advice.

@Alicia Renee

Wholesaling in Texas is perfectly legal, provided you follow the rules that are in place.

It essentially breaks down that you must NOT advertise the property for sale directly, instead you state you have an assignable contract that you will be charging a fee for. You have to disclose to all parties, that you will be making money on this assignment.

I would strongly advise that you consult with an experienced attorney in your local area, to fully explain what Texas expects. It's not overwhelming or over complicated, just provides you with the necessary information for you to succeed.

All the best!
