So I’ve been working with a realtor for the past few months that I know from childhood. He’s a great realtor in my opinion, I’ve watched him grow into what he’s built and it’s impressive, I’d say he’s in that 20% category of realtors that make most of the sales.

My question to you all is I want to get my name out there to as many people as possible, including other realtors especially ones I know personally, yet be ethical and not disloyal to him, especially considering how helpful he’s been.

So is there a good way to have that conversation? I’m coming at this angle from the Grant Cardone perspective of having as many people out there know what I’m doing as possible. Also this realtor is pretty well known so I know he has other investors to reach out to as well.

Feeling stuck on this one as to which way to go. Thanks in advance for reading and the reply

@Michael Heisterkamp you make some excellent points. The overwhelming majority here though is saying I’ve got a good thing going and not mess it up. They look like some pretty experienced folks too.

I appreciate the feedback and thoughts, definitely another side to consider. Thanks for taking the time to reply

@Jason Duncan good points. I’m still debating, I think I’m leaning more toward having a conversation about his primary area he deals with and go from there.

@Ralph R. I congratulate you on your success with sticking with the same realtor.  I have a history in real estate longer than yours as well as an extensive history in business more generally.  What would you do if your realtor was hit by a bus tomorrow?  What about if they decide to start feeding properties to people who will give them more money?  This idea that you have to do business with one person exclusively or not at all makes zero sense.  It is not a sustainable way to run a business nor is it an adviseable idea.  Does this mean people can't have success working with only one agent?  No, but this idea that you must pick one agent and only work with them is ridiculous.

To each their own, I will just stick with ideas I have seen far more success with.

@Michael Heisterkamp the whole idea behind a net work is having a place to land. If my realtor dies tomorrow I’ll not fall to far before I find a place to land same with the PM, same with my insurance agent same with my partner, same with my banker. Point is your better off with people you know and trust. Before real estate it was a butcher shop. Same suppliers, same service for the meat cutting tools, same book keeper, same clientele etc. before that it was a welding business. Same suppliers, same insurance company, and on and on. Probably 40 years in buisness all together. Did I fire any? Yeah did I ever change you bet. But a guy that bounces around between agents and PM’s etc will always wonder if his agent is ripping him off, worry that somebody else got “his deal” and have a poor reputation with whoever he’s doing business with. I’ve found a way to avoid all that BS that’s all. RR
