No W2, but got CASH to invest

Melissa Serrano
Posted

Hello!

My husband and I will be relocating back to the States after living and working abroad for over a decade. We are ending our current work contract and are (hoping to) not looking to get a W2 job, but instead work for ourselves and try our hand at creating some businesses. In the meantime, we would really like to get started with investing in Real Estate. How can we do this without getting a W2 job? We do have a good amount of cash on hand to invest. What loan products/programs help people without a traditional job?

Thank you in advance!

It will depend on how much cash you have. If you have enough to purchase a property 100% with cash, that's not a problem. If you're going to seek a mortgage, you may have a difficult time finding a lender to work with you.
