Does mass postcard mailers work?

I have created a postcard and sending out other targeted written letters as well as have a website up and running now. I'm just starting to do wholesale and I was wondering if I will be wasting money on mailers if they work or if they get confused with other junk mail.

Your thoughts?

Replied

I am just starting to do mailing myself for just about a month.

Results have been dismal.

However there are enough people on here and at my local REI events that have had success that I assume that my issue is 1 or more of the following:

1) First mailing and everyone says results go up after multiple hits

2) I don't have a good list

3) I don't have a good mail piece

Point #1 is a given and can only test by doing the repeat mailings. However my response has been ridiculously bad. ~2,500 postcards with 1 call from a guy asking to be taken off the list!

Leads me to think that the other 2 issues are coming into play!

I have gotten some feedback on my PC and trying to be objective it is probably not very good and isn't getting the message I wanted across the way I wanted.

I have already purchased some different pieces and plan on using them on the next rounds of mail. I will use the rest of the original ones until I run out of them.
