BP Family,

We're looking to form a long-term relationship with a commercial lender who can finance our multi-family purchases.

We are syndicating deals with a pool of 5-10 investors and are looking at several 20-50 unit buildings for a value-add play.

I'd appreciate any references on investor friendly commercial lenders.

I look forward to hearing from everyone.

Hi Brooks, I can recommend Union Bank and Trust.  I am in Fredericksburg and I know they are in the Richmond area as well but not sure if they have reached the Williamsburg market yet.  They are a fairly large regional bank with local decision makers.  I have used them for commercial property loans and have done a number of portfolio loans for single families with them.  You might check them out.  Best wishes!

Done a couple through union and also recommend. It depends on your area though, smaller banks are the best but they only operate in smaller areas
