Thanks Mindy...not ‘shiny’ new to investing, but I’m still learning.  Hope the critics will go easy.

Appreciate your cautionary words.

Since the marketplace update, are posts on here still counted as 'posts?'  I've advertised a couple that didn't show up in my post feed.

@Mindy Jensen When I post on the marketplace, people used to be able to see it through my recent posts feed on my page and up/downvote but it looks like that functionality has been removed with the recent update.  I was just double-checking with you if that's the case. (For example, I posted something yesterday but my post feed reflects my last post on Jan. 23rd).

Also, I see that there is a Real Estate Marketplace and a Marketplace Forum (which is where we used to post and that triggered keyword notifications whereas the new Real Estate Marketplace does not). Is the old MP forum being phased out for the new Marketplace? Pro membership comes with 2 posts/day in the Marketplace, but does that limit count for both the MP forum and the new Real Estate Marketplace? Sorry, just want to avoid people not seeing my posts and breaking any rules on here. Thanks

1 - Please heed extreme caution when considering any solicitations made here. While most of our posters are promoting legitimate opportunities, there are also scammers out there. We do our best to police the threads, but sometimes, things fall through the cracks.
2 - Ask Questions! If someone is unwilling or unable to answer your questions . . . look out!
3 - ALL posters are required to post in accordance with the law. If you are unaware of the laws governing posting any kind of real estate opportunity, we recommend you not post. You and you alone are responsible for the content of your posts.
4 - Be prepared to have your post critiqued or analyzed by our membership. if you post an advertisement, you should be prepared to answer ANY and ALL questions posed to you by other members. Failure to respond may result in the closure or removal of your post.
5 - If you're interested in other ad options, including advertising on our newsletter or banners on site, just fill out our advertising form and we'll get you set up.

Overall, just use common sense. If something sounds fishy, it probably is. If someone promises guaranteed returns, find out what the catch is, because there usually is one.

Lets work as a community to keep these and all of our other threads safe for one another. If you don't like something you see or read, ask questions or tell someone (moderator, admin).

Thank you.

There are essentially two separate marketplaces now. This one & the new one where users can post properties in a format similar to an MLS or a Loopnet. What is the rule in regards to post limits? Is it a total of two posts per day between the two separate marketplaces or is it two posts per day per individual marketplace? I see that the other marketplace automatically limits a user to two postings every 24 hours. This one doesn't so clarity is appreciated.

Thank you Minday.  I'm trying my best to learn the rules and abide!  I love Biggerpockets.  Thank you and your team.

Hi James.

Thanks for asking. The rules for posting are two per day per individual marketplace. So two postings in the non-property platform, and two in the property-only platform.

Please note the Property platform requires at least one image of the property and has rules against excessive text on images - watermarking them is fine but blasting ads for your company is not.

This post has been removed.

Ya'll Pro members reading this better start advertising! We just got our ability to spread our messages doubled!

I'm trying to add a property to the marketplace, but every time I try to post the ad I get a red banner across the top of the page: "There was a problem creating your listing: detail is invalid". How do I post my listing for a triplex in Baltimore?

Hey @Luke Anderson ,

I just happened to run into your post. Where is your triplex if you don't mind sharing. I'm going to be back on the hunt again very soon!

@Solomon Morris it’s in Hamilton, one block off Harford Road. I figured out how to get it on the marketplace so some details are there. It’s fully rented and has a large lot that is buildable according to the city with the right plan. Let me know if you’d like to know more, and good luck in your search!

Thank you Mindy
