Credit/Background Check Services

With New York capping the amount that we can charge tenants for a credit/backgroung check at $20, what is everyone using for these reports? So far I've used straight arrow and that info has to be manually input which is a downside. Buildium also offers a service which I've utilized and it allows the prospective tenant to pay for it but I'd like to see what other options are available in the $20-$30 price range.

Good ol' New York! The law also says you can't accept payment until you deliver a copy to the Tenant and a receipt, which means they could disappear before you receive payment. And you have to accept a copy of their credit report, which means you have to learn how to identify fraudulent credit reports because I guarantee they are out there: https://pdf.wondershare.com/te...

I pay $16 for my screening service, but it's through my PM software. Do a Google search for "tenant application screening" and you'll get dozens of options. Review what service they provide and the price they charge, then choose one.
