Contractors left nails/popped my tenants tires

So the other day I had some downspouts installed on my duplex. They did a pretty good job, only thing is they left some nails on my tenants driveway and she came knocking on my door telling me how the nails got in and popped 3 of her tires. She had to get them plugged. How should I handle this?

Replied

I would just reimburse her for the repair if she's a good tenant and you want to keep her. I'd mention it to the contractor and ask them for reimbursement but I'd definitely get her taken care of first. Tire plugs in my area are $20 each, no sense in ruining a relationship over a small amount of money.
