Residential Rental Lease
I purchased a quadplex that has existing tenants. Three of the tenants are not under a lease any longer and are paying month-to-month. The contract doesn't have any terms on what I should charge the tenants when they leave in the middle of the month. Should I charge them for the full month or prorate it by day?

tenant is required to give 30 days notice and then pay rent for that entire 30-day period. If they give notice on October 15, they should be held responsible for rent through November 15. Some states/leases require termination to take place at the end of the month.
