CAR Residential Lease Agreement - Need to be a Realtor

Hi BP,

Quick question, Ive been told in the past that only realtors can use the California Association of Realtors Residential Lease agreement when renting out rental properties, but I have not been able to verify if that is true anywhere. Besides the name being printed on the bottom is there any reason why a non-realtor would or should not use it?

Thank you!

Alex

Yes, it's a copyrighted document. You shouldn't use contracts unless you have express permission and know how to use it.
