Looking for a Coach!

Ruth Moynihan
Posted

Hi there! My husband and I have a 7-unit multi-family and one single family home as rental investment properties in New Hampshire. We started investing in real estate 2 years ago and are definitely still in the "novice" category. Currently, we are in contract on a 10,000 square foot commercial building that we are hoping to convert into a 12+ unit multi-family.  We're both feeling like we've gotten in a bit "over our heads" with this project, but at the same time, we don't want to shy away from a big opportunity just because it's hard, daunting, overwhelming, etc.

We're hoping that we can find someone in the BP community that could come alongside us and give us some insight and support as we navigate this new territory.  We will happily pay for consulting services, coaching, etc.

Can anybody recommend a great adviser, consultant or coach?

Thank you for any help or suggestions that you can offer!!!

@Ruth Moynihan congrats on totally kicking *ss and diving right in. That's awesome! If you are currently under contract, hopefully you are still in your due diligence period. Go straight to the building department and ask them about the location of this building and the zoning. Make sure that the zoning allows for you to change the use from whatever it currently is to 12 units. Once that is confirmed, find an Architect that has worked in that municipality before and is familiar with the towns zoning codes and planning department process.
