Stair Flooring - Hazards & Solutions

Hey! My wife and I are in the process of renovating a townhome we own in Kissimmee, FL that we use as a STR. It is a two story unit with carpet on the stairs and in all the bedrooms. The carpet is pretty dated and needs to be replaced. Our plan is to replace the carpet with luxury vinyl plank floors including on the stairs as it would look nicer and be easier to clean. Our main concern with this is if this will cause too much of a liability issue with guests, especially kids, slipping on the stairs causing injuries. Since the location is near Disney World we tend to have children in the home on most bookings.

I know there are options out there such as adding a carpet strip, anti-slip adhesive treads, and anti-slip floor finish. Do you have any advice or suggestions on the best option here? We would love any feedback - thanks!

I eliminate carpet every where I can. Getting rid of carpet is cheaper in the long run.

Solid surface stairs are not slippery in themselves.
