Newbie from Indianapolis, IN (Go Hoosiers!)
Howdy, Bigger Pockets community!
My name is Ryan Wilkins and I'm a resident of Indianapolis, IN, looking to get my feet wet with real estate investing. I graduated from Indiana University in 2015 and have been working at a software company in downtown Indy since.
I don't have any background in real estate, but I'm looking to learn as much as I can by networking with Indy pros and shadowing some deals. I hope to house hack a duplex next year, and then grow my rental portfolio to approximately 10 properties in 5 years.
I stumbled upon the BiggerPockets podcast a few months ago and have been hooked ever since. The podcast really sparked my interest in the real estate space, and also convinced me that normal people like myself can find success in the industry.

I would recommend also going to the INREIA and CIREIA meetings so that you can network with all the great wholesalers we have here in Indy.
