New(ish) member to Bigger Pockets

Hello Bigger Pockets,

I am living in San Francisco and am looking to invest out of state (big surprise here right?)

I have been a member of Bigger Pockets for about 8 months, but have yet to do my new member introduction.

My friend and I recently purchased a duplex in Kansas City and have caught the real estate bug. We have experienced a few bumps in the early months of our purchase (tenants didn't speak English, a few moderate repairs missed by the inspector) but all in all we are happy with the purchase and hope to learn from this property.

We are looking to purchase another property, likely a duplex or larger and are going to continue our real estate education. Any advice is always appreciated!

Best of luck Sean. I highly recommend attending some REI meetings and speaking to others who have invested out of state successfully. Picking their brain and learning the ropes will only further enhance your growth.
