My name is Brice Bishop I graduated from auburn university with a degree in economics. I worked for a bank in NC for 2 years and quickly realized I wasn’t a great fit for banking. I now work in the steel industry in Birmingham AL and have been keeping up with the Bp podcasts. I am very interested in buying a du,Tri or quadplex when my lease expires. Over and over on the podcasts guys keep saying that’s how they started and it seems to make sense to me. My goal is long term investments. I look forward to learning more about real estate investing.

Welcome to BP @Brice Bishop ! Always good to see another Bham native.

My first recommendation for new investors on the forums is to carefully curate your keyword alerts. If you're looking into buying a duplex etc and then house hacking, start with 'house hacking' as a key word, then add one with both 'house hacking' and 'birmingham', or 'birmingham BRRRR' if that's where you're headed. The more specific you get the less time you spend in threads that won't really provide any education for your specific goals.

Other than that, just read read read! There's tons to learn here so make the most of this amazing resource.

War Eagle! (although I'm a Tide man myself ;)
