California Native looking to invest in OOS (Indianapolis)

Altaf Wahid
Posted

Hi everyone,

My name's Altaf Wahid and I'm based out of Orange County, California. I work full-time in finance for a software company and I'm also working on an MBA part-time (any Trojans out there?). I don't have much experience in real estate other than having worked at a couple of mortgage companies in the past but I've been doing a lot of research on real estate investing over the past month and I'm hoping to get into the market in a couple of months.

Long-term, I would like to invest mostly for appreciation but for my first property, I'm more focused on cash flow. I'm really interested in purchasing a duplex. One market that I like based on what I've seen in Indianapolis. If there are investors here that have properties in the area, I would love to connect! I would also appreciate any advice you all have to offer.

Thank you!

@Joseph Crunkilton Thank you for the shout out!

@Altaf Wahid Indy is an excellent investment market where you get a very good balance of cash flow & appreciation over time!  There is a lot of potential there!  We work in 11 different states, and IN is probably in the top 3 best markets in my opinion.

We've helped many investors just like yourself build a successful rental portfolio across numerous cash flow markets. It's all a numbers game, and the most successful investors invest in the markets where they get the best returns!

Also for your reference, here are some other forum discussions from investors that have worked with us in the past. I'm sure you'll find this informative. Looking forward to hopefully connecting in the near future!
