Asbestos siding removal referral

Hi there

We are closing on a Oakland sfh that has asbestos siding. My partner and I are looking to flip it and want to replace the siding which has some wear and tear.

Does anyone have good referrals to handle safe removal, disposal without burning the bank.

Thanks

Sunny

Hi Sunny,

Is encapsulating it under new siding an option?

Why is that not an option?  Is removal required under local ordinance?

Ive had 2 properties with asbestos siding.  One we just needed to replace a few broken shingles, and left the asbestos on. (Which saved the property when the house next door caught on fire). The other one we just put vinyl siding over the asbestos siding.

I am a Certified Environmental Consultant and I work with Abatment Companies Every Day! One company that rises above the rest is based out of Sacramento, but they do work in Bay Area often. Select Environmental is the company. Talk to Harold Williams (Their Estimator) I've worked on several jobs where my clients have used them for abatement (including the State Capitol); They have always been impressed with Harold's fair bids and the company's ability to finish on time and under budget.

Hope this helps! (smile)

P.S. - I don't get any compensation for this referral.
