General contractors in Ohio
Happy holidays to all!
Quick question. I'm being told that general contractors don't need a license in the State of Ohio ..and a Google search seems to support that.
But.. also says some do need licenses?
Can anyone clarify?

In Ohio you only need specific trade licenses, for example if you are doing permitted plumbing work, HVAC, or electrical work then you need a trade license in those trades. Outside of that there are no state issued licenses, most cities require contractors to carry liability insurance that covers their employees to get "certified" with the city as a contractor, that is how Cincinnati does it.
