Hello, My name is Bridgette,

 I live in the Dallas/ Ft. Worth area anyone from the area?  We are newbies to real estate investing and have been reading, searching, going to meetings to find out more about real estate. Any advice for us to get out and getting started? FEAR is what is holding us back. Any investors that can input near us?

@Bridgette Mitchell welcome!

There are a TON of people on here that live in the DFW metroplex. BiggerPockets is a tremendous place to get started learning with all the information and content they have here. I suggest read and watch as many podcasts as you can until you feel like they're being redundant and then seek out opportunities to invest. Obviously that requires knowing your story and what you're trying to do - but it took me a few years before I actually purchased my first property, while others move much quicker. I must say though - when I did take the jump, I haven't looked back!
