How to forecast Economic Busts?

I am curious as to other peoples thoughts. Is it the inverted yield? Is it the highest sky scraper being constructed? Is it women's hemlines increasing or decreasing with the economy? How about champagne sales? How about the sales of men's underwear as Alan Greenspan says? Lipstick sales? Its all a funny funny thing but seems to be a bit of real evidence there. I think its many combination of events that sorta hit at the same time. It seems that Germany will be going through a recession with the Ukraine-Russian war due to Germany's imports-exports to the region. Will that have a domino effect upon the US?  Personally, I don't think Texas will be affected much.
