@William AllenI'm happy to see you starting to build that website yourself. Just wanted to check in and see how things are going with it.

@Antonio Coleman Things are going well and I am glad that I did it myself.  I learned a lot throughout the process and that knowledge will certainly help me in the future going forward.  I used a lot of the techniques you outline in your blog so I appreciate that greatly. With the site up now, I have been working on building business profiles all over the web to help drive traffic to my site and move me up in the rankings.  I am also coming up with a laundry list of blog posts to write about in the future.  Thanks for checking in!

-Bill

Your website turned out really well!  I like your logo... although the Jack in the logo is red and not black!  :)

It's a nice looking WordPress theme.   Very clean and professional.

@Todd Heitner  Thanks for checking out my site and giving some feedback.  I wanted a red and black color scheme so it was a red "black" or "jack" and I don't think I could have gone red "black."  Not sure that even makes sense but maybe you get the idea.  Funny to think you are the first person to point that out to me....

I learned a ton making the site and I'm glad I went that route.

@Lily Boudon - all the designs at www.realestateinvestingwebsites.com are mobile friendly.  It could be likely you came across a website done before mobile friendly websites were relevant - yes, we started developing real estate investing websites before smart phones became the in-thing :)

When it comes to making the choice between developing your own website solution vs buying an existing website, it all boils down to how much time and money you have to invest in building your own website.

When all is said and done, you will find that in most cases you spend more trying to build your own website.

Secondly..... and especially, what kind of product do you have at the end of the day - does it bring you more business and make your work easier?  How much money will you lose because you don't have the right kind of website?

I've written about this before in this forum, so I'll just point you to the link:

Of course I encourage you to do some research on the products on the market to make sure you get a product that works for your business.
