City violation - Sanitation

City of Chicago sent a violation notice for garbage overflowing…

As a landlord and former resident of the property, I know the tenants don’t necessarily are responsible for this. Building next to mine always has tenants dumping trash around the garbage cans and not inside.

What can I do here? Should I get a lawyer and fight this thing or is it not worth it? Also, as precaution and not letting this happen again, what do you all recommend? Cameras (need a good contact on this)

Thank you!

This happens all over the country. My only recommendation is to post signs and put up a camera that watches constantly. If you catch them, report them. Maybe they'll find a different spot to dump.
