Preparing to purchase first rental property and I am looking for the best software or app to manage all aspects of being a rental property investor. Everything from account management to background checks and repairs . I would like one that covers everything. Any ideas ?

Check out TenantCloud as an example. Free for up to 75 units, nominal monthly charge to accept online payments. It can market your rentals, accept online applications and run screening, collect rent payments, track maintenance, run owner statements, etc.
There are many other software options available. You have to do your homework to try out various options and see which one works best for you.
