Out-of-State Investors in Indy — What’s Your Biggest Challenge?

Hi everyone! I’m Candace, based here in Indianapolis.

Since 2019, I’ve been hands-on with rehab projects,  coordinating contractors, tracking budgets, and making sure work stays on schedule. One thing I see often is how challenging it can be for out-of-state investors to manage rehabs from afar.

Some common issues I notice:

  • Contractors missing deadlines when no one’s on-site.

  • Budgets creeping up with surprises.

  • Quality issues that aren’t caught until the end.

I’d love to connect with other investors who are working in Indy or considering it. What’s been your biggest challenge managing projects from a distance?
