Thanks Kevin. The VA loan sounds great from the way you have described it. Do they guarantee loans as long as you are or were military? Or do they check your credit first and see where you stand from there? I ask Bc I don't have a ton of credit besides student loans which I'm catching up on and my truck payment which I have never been late on.

Thanks for the reply Dave. Well I'm stationed in Cheyenne and I would like to rent out properties to start for the steady income. Eventually I would like to buy and flip homes.

Ok, thanks for clarifying that for me Matt. (Sorry I didn't @ you. App keeps crashing.) Question how do you go about owning and maintains the properties you on in other locations without being physically there to maintain? Property managers? I ask Bc if I were to buy a 4 plex of anything of the sort I would probably not be in this state for many years to keep my eye on them.

Thanks for the advice Paul Timmins. What exactly is HUD? Any time of requirements I get this type of loan? Where should I go I apply for this? I know these are probably some silly questions.

Hey thanks Matt for the quick reply. The VA loan was what I was interested in. Would that loan help me acquire something like a duplex or would it solely be for a Single family home or apartment?

Hi all, I know its been quite awhile since I have posted on this great site but I'm back and have a question or two. I am currently in the Air Force and I'm very interested in REI. Just wondering if there are any programs out there for active duty members that could help them with their REI dreams.

@Kelvin K. I was told there is a REI group about 30 minutes south of me in Fort Collins Co. I would love on start a REI group in Cheyenne Wy I need to network though.

I know this maybe a crazy question but how do you go about purchasing RE with no money down? Sounds too good to be true.

With someone new in real estate (like myself) what would be the ideal amount of money a investor should have saved up?
