@Joe Villeneuve Has knocked it out of the park. I would refi all those properties at 80% and buy more. If you show your wife the increase in income by buying more, then maybe you can alleviate her fear of holding more debt.

These are business assets, it's best to treat them as such. Your P&I payments are expenses that your tenants are paying.

Good luck!

I've been using AirBnB for several months now, and I'm able to keep my STRs mostly full near a popular vacation spot.

I tried VRBO, but the hidden/surprise fees were obnoxious, jumped ship very quickly.

Hello Everyone!

After working with our local Keller Williams office and an great investor friendly agent, we've finally organized a monthly meetup in the downtown Spokane, WA area!

Our first meeting will be at the Keller Williams training room in downtown Spokane. The exact details are below.

Spokane REI is a non-sales oriented real estate investors group. Our focus will be on education and networking. We'll work to have monthly guests who can give details on their niche of the real estate industry. We'll look at deal analysis, real estate math, financing, purchase agreements, marketing, and much more! We want this group to encourage creative thinking, deal exchanges, partnerships, and creating win-win scenarios.

Our first meeting will be on January 26, 2017. Every following event will be on the 4th Thursday of every month.

Time & Date: Thursday, February 23, 2017 @ 6:00PM PST
Location & Address: Keller Williams Building, 799 S Stevens St, Spokane, WA 99204
Parking Instructions: Park at the South side of the building. The training room is accessible from the south entrance. The door locks after 5PM but will be attended for access.

Material Covered: The agenda for this meeting will be to introduce ourselves and format. We'll run through a market analysis, give time to network with other investors, and provide a short lesson on how to get started in real estate investing.

@Wayne Perry If you're looking for a closer one (really only saves you 35-40 minutes of driving, there's a REI group in Couer d'Alene, ID, hosted every 1st Thursday of the month at the Keller Williams office in Spokane. @Nick Beveridge runs that event.

However, I'd be happy to have you here at the Spokane group as well.

Thanks!

I wanted to thank everyone for turning out to a last minute move to a different venue and having dinner/drinks! We had nearly 20 people show up, some new faces, some experienced investors, and a few newbies! It was fantastic and I look forward to our first event in the Keller Williams Spokane Training Room!

Thanks!

@Craig T. Rent has increased about 20-30% in Spokane over the last 4 years, depending on the neighborhood.

What we're seeing in Spokane is that millennials are moving closer into downtown, where traditionally it's been a higher crime area. (Nicknamed Felony Flats for years).

I've updated the original post to reflect a change in venue for JANUARY ONLY!

We'll be meeting at Twigs Downtown.

808 W. Main 3rd Floor, Spokane, WA 99201

We'll make this a more meet & greet style gathering. I'd be happy to answer questions on real estate, to the best of my knowledge, and provide some added value content for this meetup.

Thanks!
