@Drew Sygit I see, I’m going to have to confirm the demographics of the neighborhood with my PM. This was very helpful, thanks for your time.

@Joe Cassandra interesting, I must say as obvious as it seems I completely over looked that. Thanks for the info Joe.

@Richard Stover yes sir, I’m working with a PM and they suggested fridge, oven, blinds etc. It’s my first property, and I’m only trying to confirm the info I got from my PM because in my experience as a renter all I’ve ever moved into was an oven. I appreciate you taking the time to give me your input.

@James Hamling makes sense, thanks for the info/tips. It’s my first property and I’m honestly drawing from my experiences as a renter, and in my area blinds, fridges and several other things are at the discretion of the tenant. But I see the advantages or disadvantages I should say of a landlord not provide some or all of the appliances.

@Mike McCarthy honestly, can’t believe

I didn’t think of the garbage bag stuff. But the fridge is honestly new to me, places I’ve rented never had fridges. I see how beneficial it would be to provide it as well as have one provided as a tenant.

@Bill Brandt makes complete sense to have a property as appealing as possible.

@Theresa Harris thanks for your input, the whole moving out and damage potential didn’t even cross my mind.

And I like that rod idea, I’ll have to run that by my PM

So I have 2 questions that I need general answers to, and I would also like to have specific answers from Missouri landlords if at all possible.

Details of my property in case it matters—— Duplex 1br 1ba in Jennings, Missouri.

Is it the standard for a duplex rental property to come with a landlord provided refrigerator in each unit?

And should landlord install blinds on windows or is that the tenants responsibility?

I recently purchased a rental property in Missouri, a duplex and I am just curious if I have have to provide the tenants with any of the appliances ie. stove, refrigerator, etc.?
