@Luke Geller well said

@Brian Nordman mine is spread out through different indexes and account types. overall ive seen about 25% returns so far. this is hard to quantify  because one of my indexes gets credited every 5 years and has 0 cap. given I started when the market was down, ive seen all of the growth. some of my indexes are 32% cap every 2 years and 11%cap every year. Im happy that I am not losing and it is semi properly funded w/ a low death benefit. I fund this but my priority is real estate. I also do some peer to peer lending w/ lending club that averages about 9-10% returns.

@Brian Nordman exactly. That is what I have. The company I have it though has different indexes. Some w/ higher caps (or no caps at all), and after 5 or 7 years the interest on withdrawal is actually free. Permanent insurance is definitely more expensive to own but if it is PROPERLY funded, this product can do amazing things.

As someone who lives and has lived in Southeast my whole life I understand. However, most on market deals are going to be here for that price range. Sounds like you need to focus on getting off market deals

If youre going to go to permanent life insurance I would take Indexed universal life a shot. permanent life insurance that is tied to stock index for performance. Find a company that has low interest on the loan side. When it gets built up, you can draw on it tax free to supplement retirement. if you die early, you leave it to your family.

If ease of mind is top priority then maybe. otherwise, leverage is the greatest wealth builder you can use.
