@Joel Allen

Thanks Joel! Would you say the area is white collar and more like a B+ area?

@Alicia Shen

Northwest San Antonio - still opportunity to cash flow.

Cape Coral FL - no inventory. Tight market. Great appreciation

BP Community,

Any thoughts on this community called “Shaenfield Place” in northwest San Antonio? I’m a long term buy and hold investor and want to hold for 15+ years. Property I’m looking at cash flows, but want to see if BP folks here have any feedback on neighborhood growth, safety, and appreciation etc. thanks so much!

Post: 401(k) loan for a down payment

All,

I’m thinking about taking $50k from my 401k to buy an investment property. Here are the pros that I can think of:

-I pay myself back and interest

-if market crashes i took money out on time and buy the dip

-have cash ready to pounce in real estate

The only con is if i quit or get fired I’ll pay the Loan back upon that’s the date.

What am i missing? Any cons you can think of?

Note: I’ve maxed out my 401k for last 10 years and feel like I’m overweight there hence want to diversify

Hi All,

First time experiencing hurricane season on my duplex in Cape Coral. Anything I should be worried about? Not in flood zone. Have flood insurance for first year (just in case). My property is in the SE side. Really appreciate your help. Thanks!

BP Family,

I’m thinking about taking a 100k heloc on my investment property (it’s a condo). Interested to learn how others have used this approach to use the funds to buy another property. What is your approach or framework to make a deal work while paying down the heloc from years 11-30? The whole thing gives me a headache trying to figure out how to make this work and thinking about just putting my head down to save up 25% then ready to buy the next one. Thoughts?
