Hi Amber,

I would suggest you determine what your goals are (how quickly you want to grow, are you looking for cashflow, etc) and other returns you are looking for. That will determine whether or not you will pay cash or refinance. As mentioned on previous posts, there are numerous factors that will give you your answer.

Hi Ashley!

I am an agent in the Iowa City area, however, I have worked numerous times with Regen Johnson at Ruhl&Ruhl. She is very experienced and knows the area well. I will PM you her contact.

Good Luck to you in your investing journey!

Hi Anson!

I would utilize a local bank, such as Hills Bank or Green State, they have the ability to utilize "in-house" lending and can be a bit more aggressive in how they lend given the potential forced appreciation. It's great that you are able to have your parents co-sign. Are you after a single-family home or multiplex?

Hi Lisa!

There is a Facebook Group Called "CR Area RE Investor Meetup" that gets together frequently. There are also discussions within the group. I don't believe the next meetup has been scheduled, but should meetup soon.

Good Luck investing! Feel free to reach out with any questions you might have!

Hi Zak!

Welcome to the Iowa City area! We took about a year or so to finally find a deal and pull the trigger. I think everyone who is currently investing in real estate wishes they bought sooner, however, it's never a bad time to buy!

Should you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out. Good luck!
