Hi friends,
I am looking into writing a book about my real estate investing journey, which includes becoming my husband and I becoming financially free in under 5 years by long-term rentals in multifamily and SFH, and syndication. Most recently, my last acquisition has been purchased for my unborn daughter. Has anyone ever gone down the path of writing a book to help others? Looking for any resources and insight on how to start this process. Thanks in advanced for your help!

Hi Jacob!
I'm a Broker Associate with Watts Group. I also have a handful of rental properties that I self-manage as well as, serve as a general partner on a couple syndications. I have some connections for other professionals in the area that I use for both creative and standard financing options. Feel free to reach out!
Best of Luck!

Hi John!
I have a handful of properties in the Iowa City area. I love that you're having a conversation about requirements prior to prospects reaching out. I struggled with having prospects fill out an application prior to viewing with our most recent acquisition. I would set up a showing with prospects and they wouldn't show or if I told them they needed to fill out an application prior to viewing I wouldn't hear from them after. Overall, a very frustrating few weeks to get it rented. My thoughts are that your prospects are not liking that they need to fill out an application prior to viewing the property. You'll need to have a conversation with yourself about how much your time is worth and if you're willing to show without having an application in hand.
Best of Luck!

Hi Annie!
My husband is also a West Coast transplant! We invest mostly in the Iowa City market as there is a large turnover with the University of Iowa, however, I agree with Matt and Patrick, the Cedar Rapids market is also great to invest in!
