I have a 3br single family with no basement. The gas lines are leaking somewhere. I need to connect compressor and do the air pressure test. The furnace and water heater is connected. Where would be an ideal place to connect the compressor ? outside, by the water heater etc ? and what size of compressor I need. Would 5-6 gallon compressor be enough ? are there any no-no’s while doing the job ? I definitely do not want to damage the lines pumping to much air.

Post: faulty breaker will not work all the way ON

this is a condo building. each apartment has its own meter in the basement. one of the breakers works only when it is 3/4 way ON. it does not work when it is in ON position all the way. what would be the safest way to replace the breaker ? I was thinking shutting off power to the unit in the basement but I dont find any switch and looks like there is a seal on the meter. so assuming I cannot switch off the power to the box...I flip all the breakers in the OFF position, this will shut off the power to all the lines, then just untie the screw, take out the breaker, put a new one, tie the screw and we back in business ? the main bar that touches the breakers is still hot though...

you doubt that it will happen ? s8 was designed as a temporary help..it became a way of life. of course he did mention that "we will get people off welfare". s8 is exactly what hurts inner city families ...they dont care about anything cuz the check is coming. the idea is to get a job and start supporting yourself.

do you think this roof needs complete tear off and replacement ? this is the scope of work. the dimension of the roof is roughly 45X15

1) Tear-off all layers of roofing and gravel down to wood decking and legally dispose.

2) Inspect wood decking and replace all deteriorated and broken areas at $ 2.50 per sq. ft.

3) Inspect existing Ceramic Copings and replace all deteriorated and broken at $ 35.00 Each.

4) Install Fiber Cant Strip at the base of the walls and curbs.

5) Install 1 layer of Base Sheet over wood decking using corrosion resistant screws and plats.

6) Install 1 layer of Modified Bitumen CertainTeed GTA Granulated.

7) Install Metal gravelstop and gutter flashings at the roof edges.

8) Flash all vents, soilpipes, and chimney using the same Modified Bitumen.

9) Install 5” Galvanized Box Gutter and 3x4 Downspout to replace existing.

10) Pick up and haul away all roof debris generated by Presidential.

if I understand correctly, if somebody took a mortgage for 100K...and there is 40K left to repay ...and I buy the note for 35K (the property in as is condition is worth 150K)...the highest bid that I can submit to the selling officer will be any number as long as it is less than 40K..correct ? I cannot submit more than 40k because there is no more owed on the note, correct ? 40K plus my fees, costs etc

lets say in 2006 somebody bought a house for 200K (Chicago, IL). it appraised back than and the note was signed, mortgage was recorded. Then the note was assigned several times. Now the house is worth around 20k in as-is condition. I would like to approach whoever holds the note asking them to assign the note to me for say 15K. the note is non performing at this point. I would like to start my own foreclosure. I am taking a risk so i need a discount. I am interested in the property. if I buy the note for 15K …and I spend 2k in attorney fees and year later the case goes to judicial state (IL is a judicial state) how much maximum can I ask for the opening bid to be ? In ideal case I would like to ask for more than the value as-is (30K ?), this way the property will not be purchased by anybody at the judicial sale it will go back to me, I will get the deed. so I guess the question is …is the opening bid at the judicial sale somewhat correlated to how much I paid for the note ? I know I can go lower ..i.e. $100 but can I go higher ? i don't care about deficiency judgment against the homeowner ..
