Thank you all for those insights.

Could someone walk us through their journey to become a syndicator?

I have had some experience with sceptic tank and well water.

It is cheaper than to be on city utilities but it is important to maintain the sceptic system on a yearly basis.

The well water had to be tested for coliform bacteria. We had to purchase a UV light to eliminate the bacteria issue.

Hi all,

I own a few properties myself and recently started doing partnerships with other investors.

I would like to hear people's experience with becoming syndicators.

Many thanks in advance!

I am following this discussion: an aging population means greater need for cemeteries or cremation gardens.

Looks like there is also a business of buying and selling burial plots. https://www.moneysense.ca/spend/real-estate/selling/how-to-make-a-killing-selling-burial-plots/

I am looking at starting a similar group in Toronto, Canada, focusing on commercial real estate investing.

This is the format I was thinking of using:

1. 20 minutes networking

2. 40 minutes speaker or workshop (finding a deal, negotiating, raising capital, managing, taxes, refinancing) & Q&A

3. 10 minutes people pitching ideas to the group

4. 30 minutes networking

Maybe we could share speakers.

You could call local property management companies and simply ask them the question: how strong is the demand?

I would also call neighbouring parks and do a rent survey to see what others are charging in the area, which will indicate where the demand is at.
