Morning BP!

Now first off, I am a beginner, I am in the education learning phase while I sort some things out to make my first purchase (Jan/Feb). I've talked to a few realtors and most have said for purchase rental properties banks usually require 30% down. So in my learning phase, I used to listen to music in my office throughout the day, but now I go throughout the day listening to @Joshua Dorkin and Brandon on BP podcast! I've found when I replay an interview, I find something new I didn't catch before, which is exciting. So yesterday unexpectedly, (seriously was not even looking or inquiring), I obtained my first investor (willing to match up to $15,000) on the first property. He came to me and offered. He had $15,000 he wanted to invest when I move on my first property. Now mind you have not even had a chance to think of which options to consider, partner type, or loan type (Like on the interview with Al Williamson), But most definitely will be something that works for both. I am beside myself to say the least and very humbled by this trust. I just wanted to share the good news! I am moving closer and closer to my "little oil wells" (one of my favorite podcast so far!).

Have a great day everyone!

Lisbeth

P.S. Background on this young man. I have known him since he was 1.5 years old when I went to work for his father as a receptionist in California, year later his father closed down the construction company to retire at 39. I somehow was talked into working as his nanny/personal assistant. Did that for 2 years until they moved and I started a family of my own, but always keeping in contact with the family. His father came out of retirement because he was bored and started his company back up in Texas. As life would have it I ended up moving to Texas from California with my little girl only knowing them. I was 24 with a 1.5 year old moving 1500 miles away from the only place I had known. I look back and cannot even wrap my head around how I had the courage to do that as introverted as I was/am. Skipping some years, I am now the office/accounting manager at the company.

I don't have any before or after pictures yet, but this is such an awesome new feature. Definitely looking forward to adding to this thread in the near future :).

Morning BP!

I joined BP back in April of this year, but did not start taking advantage of all it had to offer until a few weeks ago. I have always had a passion for wanting to get into real estate buy & hold properties, multi-family properties, wanting to do what my father did which was buy & hold properties. I love my current job, I love what I do, don't plan on leaving it until retirement, this will be my job that provides me to be able to buy my first investment property (Goal set is 6-8 months from now).

My day starts around 3:30 or 4:30am everyday (I blame my parents work ethic! :) ), get on my IPad and BP podcast is what gets turned on as I get ready and drive the 35 minutes into work. If by chance I have not set up BP podcast, my daughter (who works same place I do) will set me up to a new BP show. (She is also excited to do her first investment deal, her goal is 1-2 years from today, she just turned 18). She wants to have 2 properties by the time she graduates from College. My day does not end without something new I learned from BP and jotting down another recommended book to benefit me in my venture.

I upgraded to BP Pro today. $150 a year subscription ($2.88 a week is SUCH A GREAT INVESTMENT) is my first official investment toward mine and my families future.

Thank you!

Bless,

Lisbeth

Good morning Michael! Funny, I was getting ready to make my own introduction and was wondering if I should put from Houston, Texas or my actual city of The Woodlands, Texas (As most would know Houston, Texas)...and as I glanced up..saw your post.

Nice to know I am not alone in my neighborhood.

Welcome and good luck in your journey!!!
