has anyone attended real estate school on their own or thru a real estate company?? what are the pros and cons of going thru a company or doing it on your own? have anybody in the west michigan area have any good ideas of schools for realtor license.

My Boyfriend Kevin is having a hard time deciding. I feel that he should do it on his own but he wants to go thru a company like keller williams and etc...

well that's why I moved to west Michigan from Jersey the market over is booming...you can find home for under market rate and they are going for better fair numbers...I already know a few contractors...what I'm trying to figure out is how other people started with their funding, either saving or loans I just like to hear other people stories

I have been talking and getting advice from many people and all I hear is I should figure out exactly what I want to get into...well right now I don't want to buy rental properties !! even though I do want to buy rental properties soon but not right now I would like to get into flips...I have been contemplating going to the bank to get a loan because some people say I should go try to get a personal loan or get a small business loan and use that to buy and flip my first home so I've been thinking about it but I'm not really sure yet...money is a little tight since I moved states and have 3 small kids don't make it easier...people also been telling me to just jump right in but that's hard when your funds are low !! What are ideas y'all have for funding your 1st flip ?? How did y'all go about doing it ??

so i finally moved states with my family and we are so ready to stop working for others. im ready to start investing but im having a hard time meeting other investors in grand rapids or michigan(Maybe because i work too manys hours). what are some good places to look when you want to get a partnership and do deals with other investors to start? Do you feel that going half with an investor is best or doing it on your own?

Im Moving to Grand Rapids, From New Jersey to do real estate. I know Grand Rapids was named not too long ago 1 of the top 5 places to do real estate (which eased my nerves). I would like to get advice on how to meet other real estate investors, wholesalers, flippers, investor meetings, etc. Especially when coming from another state.
