Interesting concept! I was actually just thinking about this the other day. To me, it seems given the right area it could make sense. I assume a higher upfront cost as far as land purchase and the actual build but you would have a brand new house, instant equity and hopefully maintenance free for quite a while.

@Alan Asriants

Alan, great summarization of Philly. I am a carpenter who works on many projects throughout the city. Currently working in old city, we have noticed the same things you speak of. It is basically a dump. I'm not sure why people want to move there. It's literally disgusting and many areas are "lipstick on a pig" areas. Gentrification is struggling in my opinion. The projects that are going up are built with less than qualified help, cheap materials and rushed to the point of poor craftsmanship all around. I've also worked on several projects in northern liberties, specifically the Piazza. I wont go into details about that place, but i wouldn't feel safe walking my dog there at all. My catalytic converter was stolen there 2 yrs ago while I was working.

Hello all,

Looking for the post about a guy starting a storage container business, kinda like pods. I searched but cannot find the post. Thanks!

@Peter T.

I have $20 to my name. Where should I start? 😂🤣

@Chris John

Sometimes text can be taken out of context. I apologise for coming off "strong". It's the last thing I want to do. I agree with you!

@Chris John

What non sense? Everyone has different views, doesn't mean anyone is wrong or it's nonsense?

@Tim G.

What are the people doing themselves? Are they going to school? There are plenty of free programs out there. Not that it matters, but I'm white and I busted my *** and still do for have what I have. I didn't get anything for free and I didn't get it because of my color.

I paid for trade school

I paid for college

I worked 3 jobs to keep an apartment

I figured out I wasn't going to make it on a $7 an hour job and went and did something about it.

What can parents do to better their children?

Why is the finger constantly being pointed at someone else?
