@Oleg Shalumov  It is a Turn Key property. I am considering purchasing a few of those out of state to get started, as San Diego RE market is difficult to enter at this time.  Thank you on the feedback on Indiana.. I will focus on finding a newer MF in the area. Have a great weekend!

@Ed Matson Thank you so much for your feedback! I had a feeling this would be the case. Sounds like too much trouble. Have a great weekend!

Is anyone familiar with Shelbyville? I am in San Diego and have a chance to purchase a triplex there (would be my first RE investment) right next to the town center. I would appreciate any feedback. On another note, the property was built in 1900 - any advice on what to watch out for in an older building? Thank you so much!

Being in UTC, you are next to a major University and multiple hospitals. According to everything I have learned from BP, this is a perfect area for RE investment. I work at SIO and do not like the trolley coming to the area either, but perhaps it will be a plus in the long run. Best of luck!

Thank you so much for all the great advice. I agree that even though the price of property in El Centro may be lower, the potential of cash flow and appreciation is much smaller... Does anyone have any advice on areas in San Diego that may be suitable for a multifamily investment? I was thinking perhaps Escondido or Vista. Thank you!

Hello, I live in San Diego and would like to get into multifamily investing. Since home prices in San Diego are pretty high, I was considering purchasing a multifamily property in the desert and wanted to see if anyone has experience in that market. Thank you! B.
