I am not a fan of extended warranty. New appliances are usually covered for 1 year so if your unit has a manufacturing defect, you will know in a year.  You can find good deal on new and refurbished appliances if you do a little research. Feel free to connect if you are looking for appliances.

What is the condition of your existing cabinets? One option is that you can keep the boxes and change the door frames. Cabinet boxes are about 30 to 40% of the price of a cabinet.  No matter what you do, don't go to any of the big box home improvement stores. You can easily save 25 to 40% if you to a local wholesale shop. Feel free to ping me if you need additional information.
