Matthew, just messaged you. See you all on the 16th.

California's whack, but this story has no credence.

Post: Using Collateralized Lines Of Credit Vs Traditional Methods

Hi all, so I'm hoping someone here can lead me into the right direction on this. So I have been looking into multifamily property investing.   I wish to field a hypothetical: I have a secured line of credit with a competitive interest rate. Would it be advisable to use this collateralized loan? Or are there better methodologies to go about doing this to take advantage of leverage?

Thanks!

Understanding how any of this is worth it in 2019.

Seems like a LOT of work to have a couple hundred dollars of passive income a month plus the risk that your tenants might break lease. Add that to the rent control movement sweeping the country, already sky high real estate values, and it seems like a lose-lose-lose. Why not invest in a REIT, or in a Vanguard account?

I'm looking to do a first deal this year. It would be an out of state deal (I'm based in NYC.) Ideally, it would be 4+ doors. I'm looking for a realtor, and property management. Also, I'd love to hear from the BP community, and your experiences or advice.

Thanks

Hello, I am new to Bigger Pockets. I've listened to a few podcast episodes, and I even bought the book, Long Distance Real Estate Investing. A lightbulb went off, and now I'm reading everything I can about real estate investment.

So I live in a HCOL area, and I would like to do my first deal this year. I'd love to know more about which areas are best to invest in. I've heard great things about Nashville, Charlotte, and Columbus.
